Etta “Rae “Edwards, 82, of St. Louis {died|passed away} Sept. 20, 2020. Mrs. Edwards was a graduate of Festus High School and had {a successful|an effective} {career|profession} as {an insurance|an insurance coverage} broker. She was an active member in the Lionettes Club, {Lady|Woman|Girl}’s Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus and {many|numerous|lots of} other charitable {organizations|companies}. She was {a treasured|a cherished|a valued} matriarch to her {family|household} and a blessed {friend|buddy|pal|good friend} to all who {knew|understood} her. Born in 1938, she was the {daughter|child} of the late Robert “Bob”and Margaret Leon.
She is {survived|made it through|endured} by her {husband|hubby|spouse|other half|partner} of 64 years: Robert “Bob” Edwards; {two|2} {daughters|children}: Gaye Lynn (Mike) Rohlmann and Krysti Kay (Tim) Vogel; {a son|a child|a kid|a boy}: Todd Edwards; {seven|7} grandchildren; {nine|9} great-grandchildren; {a sister|a sibling|a sis}: Bobbi (Leon) Dehner; {bonus|reward|perk|benefit|bonus offer} {sister|sibling|sis} Darla Boyer; and {many|numerous|lots of} other {relatives|family members|loved ones} and {friends|buddies|pals|good friends}.
She was preceded in death by {a sister|a sibling|a sis}: Marie (Leon) Compton; her parents-in-law; {four|4} sisters-in-law; and her {beloved|cherished|precious} {grandson|grand son}: Dane Vogel.
Visitation is {scheduled|arranged|set up} from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23, at John L. Ziegenhein & & Sons {Funeral|Funeral Service} {Home|House}, 4830 Lemay {Ferry|Ferryboat} {Road|Roadway}, in south St. Louis County. A funeral Mass will follow at 1 p.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 4556 Telegraph {Road|Roadway}, in St. Louis County. Memorials {may|might} be made to the Dane M.
