Gulley, Lyle Foxwell, Jr. {Passed away|Died} {peacefully|quietly|in harmony} Friday, November 6, 2020 surrounded by his {loving|caring} {family and friends|friends and family} at the age of 70.
Lyle is {survived|made it through|endured} by his {devoted|dedicated} {wife|spouse|partner|other half|better half} of 46 years, Leslie, and his {four|4} {loving|caring} {children|kids}, Katie Hanson, (Brett) Kristen Holton, (Rick) Andrea Kaufmann, (Tim) and Lyle Foxwell Gulley lll (Callie) and 9 grandchildren, that {thought|believed} he hung the moon, (Grace, Patrick & & Jack Hanson, Lotsie, Nina & & Evie Holton, Ellie & & George Kaufmann and {soon|quickly} to be Lyle Foxwell Gulley lV.)
Lyle was born January 30, 1950 to the late Lyle F. and Mary Ruth Gulley in St. Louis. He {graduated|finished} from {Country|Nation} Day in 1968 and was {lucky|fortunate} {enough|sufficient|adequate} to count his {classmates|schoolmates} as {lifelong|long-lasting} {friends|buddies|pals|good friends}. He {returned to|went back to} St. Louis after {graduating|finishing} from Johns Hopkins University where he {quickly|rapidly} {met|satisfied|fulfilled} Leslie and {began|started} their {happily|gladly} ever after. Lyle {enjoyed|delighted in|took pleasure in} a long {successful|effective} {career|profession} in both banking and {insurance|insurance coverage} {before|prior to} he retired in 2012. {Always|Constantly} {an avid|a devoted|a passionate} {golfer|golf player|golf enthusiast}, he shared his {passion|enthusiasm} with not {only|just} his {friends|buddies|pals|good friends}, {but|however} {also|likewise} his {kids, grandkids, and in-laws|kids, in-laws, and grandkids|grandkids, kids, and in-laws|grandkids, in-laws, and kids|in-laws, kids, and grandkids|in-laws, grandkids, and kids}. He {loved|liked|enjoyed} {dogs|canines|pet dogs|pets} as much as he {loved|liked|enjoyed} his {family|household} and would be grateful for {donations|contributions} to ASPCA (P.O. Box 96929, Washington, DC 20090-6929). Lyle {also|likewise} {battled|fought} {multiple|several|numerous} sclerosis for {20 years|twenty years} and was a board member of the National MS Society (P.O. Box 91891, Washington DC 20090-1891) for {a number of|a variety of} years.
