WARWICK, R.I. (AP) — The median price of a single-family house in Rhode Island hit a record of $339,900 in September, according to the Rhode Island Association of Realtors.

Association President Shannon Buss said in a news release Thursday morning that she can not remember the last time the market has moved so fast this late in the year.

The median price rose from last September’s price of $295,000 by 15%. The previous record was set in August at $333,164.

In addition, condominium median sales price rose 9% to $264,950 and the median price of multi-unit houses also hit an all-time high of $327,000, up 19% from last September.
