Bubb, Robert ‘Bob’age 88, was born in New Jersey and {passed away|died} on November 6, 2020 in San Diego, CA. He {graduated|finished} from Quincy, IL high school and the University of Illinois where he {was a member of|belonged to} Phi Delta Theta fraternity. Bob served in the {US|United States} Army, was honorably {discharged|released} as Captain, and {entered|went into|got in} the life {insurance|insurance coverage} {business|company|service|organization} in Pittsburgh, PA. {Bob and his {family|household} {moved to|transferred to|relocated to} St. Louis in 1969 when he was {appointed|designated|selected} {manager|supervisor} of the Connecticut General Life {Insurance|Insurance Coverage} Co.|When he was {appointed|designated|selected} {manager|supervisor} of the Connecticut General Life {Insurance|Insurance Coverage} Co, Bob and his {family|household} moved to St. Louis in 1969.} He {founded|established} Robert L Bubb and Co. a life {insurance|insurance coverage} brokerage serving {business owners|entrepreneur|company owner} in St. Louis for over 40 years.
Bob {loved|liked|enjoyed} his {family|household} deeply and was {very|extremely|really} {loved|liked|enjoyed} in return. Bob is {survived|made it through|endured} by his {beloved|cherished|precious} Jeanne, {wife|spouse|partner|other half|better half} of 65 years and his {four|4} {children|kids}: Patti Carlos (Brian), Thomas Bubb (Susan), Lan Jefferson (Lawrence), and Jonathan Bubb. His {seven|7} grandchildren were {a blessing|a true blessing} to him, and {six|6} great-grandchildren were the icing on the cake!
Bob was an ‘out-of-the-box’ thinker, {always|constantly} seeing the world in {unique|distinct|special} {ways|methods}. He had {a wonderful|a fantastic|a terrific} {gift|present} for making {people|individuals} laugh, for making them feel {good|great|excellent} about themselves. {A friend|A buddy|A pal|A good friend} {wrote|composed}, ‘Bob {just|simply} {exuded|exhibited|radiated} an interest in {everything|whatever} around him. What {a gift|a present} that was to me, to {all of us|everyone|everybody}. And his wry {sense of humor|funny bone}. Oh, my … what {a joy|a delight|a happiness|a pleasure}!’ Bob, alias the ‘Trout Meister,’ {had a passion for|wanted} fly-fishing in the streams of the Western mountains. He {might|may} even {be there|exist} now! {Looking ahead to|Expecting} his {passing|death}, he {once|when|as soon as} {wrote|composed} ‘He came … He saw … He left smiling … Finito’.
